Project 1A: Physical Collage (10%)

We were told to do 3 collages with materials we have from magazine, newspaper, books and etc. in week 1. As I don't have newspapers, I got the materials from some old magazine, polaroid and stickers.

From the feedback session, I was advice to cut the edges of some materials to make the materials blend well as a collage. I was suggested to go with composition #2, which is figure 1.2. However, I was not satisfied with three of the compositions. I made a new composition with the materials and decided to make it my final submission.

Project 1B: Digital Collage (10%)

We were given some materials to download as the elements of our digital collage work.  We were also told to create 3 different composition digital collages from the materials.

I was advised to choose composition #2 (figure 2.2) to continue with the blending mode practice and also as my final submission. I decided to add few elements before I submitted.

Project 1C: Me in Heart Mansion (5%)

In week3, we were taught about blending modes in Photoshop and did an in-class exercise of editing Shazam in the heart mansion.

Week 3 task was to put our own image into the heart mansion with suitable color correction and our reflection.

Project 1D: B&W Photo Recolouring (5%)

In week4, we learned about recolouring in Photoshop, using two different methods. It is to restore the color of black and white photos.

Week 4 task is recolouring artwork by using the technique we learned in class. We were given some black and white photos to choose one from them and do the recolouring.
